Pitcher or mixing glass
- ½ cup pomegranate juice
- teaspoon ginger root grated, more to preference
- 1 teaspoon elderflower cordial optional
- sparkling water
Peel and grate the ginger.
Pour the pomegranate juice and elderflower cordial into a pitcher or mixing glass, and spoon in the grated ginger. Muddle the mixture by pressing on the ginger and releasing the juices to combine with the pomegranate.
Place a strainer over your glass and pour in the pomegranate juice mixture (divide evenly between your glasses). Top with sparkling water and serve immediately.
- Use chilled pomegranate juice for a lighter and more refreshing mocktail.
- Sparkling water or club soda both work well.
- If you wish to add ice for a longer drink, then you may prefer to use a highball glass rather than a coupe glass.
- If you don't have a small strainer, place a fine mesh sieve over a bowl or jug and strain that way.
