Apple Ginger Smoothie
With lots of fruit, leafy greens and a bit of a zing, this apple ginger smoothie is full of flavor and so easy to make. Perfect as a tasty snack or to enjoy with breakfast!

- 2 green apples cored, diced
- ½ inch root ginger peeled, roughly diced
- ¼ inch turmeric root peeled, diced
- 1 cup kale stems removed
- 1 cup coconut water or plain water
- ice to preference
Remove the cores from the green apples, and dice into small pieces. Use a small spoon to peel the skins from the ginger and turmeric, and remove any tough stems from the kale.
Add the diced apples, ginger, turmeric, kale and coconut water (or water) to a blender. Blend until well combined. Adjust with ice to preference.
- Use green apples for a more tart taste, or red apples for more sweetness.
