This fall fruit salad (also known as autumn fruit salad!) combines fresh berries and seasonal apple with a sweet pomegranate juice dressing. So easy to make in just 5 minutes!
Whisk together the pomegranate juice, maple syrup and cardamom (or cinnamon), if using.
Tip the blueberries, blackberries and pomegranate seeds (arils) into your serving bowl. Pour over half the pomegranate dressing and toss to coat the fruit. Right before serving, prep the apples by de-coring and slicing, then add to the bowl. Pour over the remaining fruit dressing and toss to combine.
This fall fruit salad is best eaten straight away, as the apples will brown over time.
Notes
As this is a fruit salad without orange juice, lemon juice or citrus, I suggest to prep the apple right before serving so that it doesn't brown. If lemon juice does work for you (likely not low histamine readers), this can help prevent browning.
While blueberries are typically available year-round, they are more in season late summer so can be swapped for more apple or blackberries if you can't find in stores.

if store-bought pomegranate juice doesn't work for you, then you can blend fresh pomegranate seeds in a blender then strain the juice through a fine mesh sieve.
cardamom, which scores 0 but has a note, in French, that some varieties may not be well tolerated. Cinnamon scores 0, but is higher on other lists.
