* This is a sponsored post as Trinny London kindly gifted me these products, but all views are my own.

Now and then a really great email pops into my my inbox, and a month or so ago one from Trinny London really made me smile. I have heard so many good things about the make-up and skincare from other bloggers, so it was really lovely to be given the opportunity to try the products and share my thoughts too.

I chose the 'starter stack' which includes the BFF skin perfector cream, lip2cheek, lip glow and eye2eye, and eagerly awaited them to arrive. I definitely wasn't disappointed as it is all such good quality, and I love the 'stacking' system as I will talk more about below.

With the Trinny London make-up there are lots of colours to choose from, whether it's for the lipsticks, eyeshadows or blush. So easy to pick for your own complexion. This is also the case for the stacks - there isn't a 'set' colour in those, but you choose the shades that suit you. I've often been frustrated this isn't so for other brands, so I love the personalised approach Trinny London offers.

Trinny London make-up is known for its 'stackable' system, and it's such a brilliant idea. I know when I go out that I either have to take a make-up bag with me that is bulky and full of different items or I have a few bits rolling about in the bottom of my bag. Neither is ideal! Being able to pick the items of make-up you want from the Trinny London line and being able to 'stack' them by clipping them together, is such a good idea. Simply click together and they are all organised. Perfect for going out, or just at home for storage.

The quality of the packaging is also such a plus point of the range. It is so sturdy, and I really like the simple and classic style. That timeless look is exactly the kind I am drawn to.

The products all have a more creamy consistency, which means they easily glide onto the skin. The lip glow gives a pop of colour, and the eyeshadow blends effortlessly. Perfect with a bit of black mascara for an evening look, or dabbed on lightly with a brown mascara (for me) for the daytime.

Lip2cheek is a great idea - a product that can be used for both areas. Perfect if you want to be minimal and only have one item to take out with you.

As well as make-up, I have also tried the Trinny London BFF skin perfector cream. I wear this over a light moisturiser and it really gives my skin a 'pep' in how it looked with a lovely glow. It evens out my skintone and reduces the appearance of blemishes. It is perfect for when you want a little 'oomph' but prefer not to wear foundation. Or you can wear under foundation, which would be nice for a night out.

I also really like that the Skin perfector has SPF 30. It's always good to have that layer of protection during the day. This is a product I can definitely see myself purchasing to help my slightly dry, and sometimes dull-looking skin.

All in all, I am very impressed by the Trinny London range. It is a touch more expensive than the usual skincare and make-up I purchase, but the quality does shine through. And maybe it's a great one to drop hints for when it's coming up to a birthday or the holidays!

Hi, I’m Claire. After a diagnosis of MCAS I began to follow a low histamine diet, which has helped me manage my symptoms. Here I hope to show that a restrictive diet can still be full of flavourful meals, and help you enjoy being creative in the kitchen.
