⭐ Why this recipe is so good
Fun side or snack! Baby carrots are perfect for dunking into dips, but can also be a side with your evening meal.
Kid-friendly. There's something about roasted baby carrots that the kids in my family always love!
Quick and easy. We use just a few ingredients, and it takes just 15 minutes to cook up these air fryer baby carrots.
🥕 Ingredients
All the ingredients and their quantities are set out in the recipe card below.
- Baby carrots - the small carrots that kids always love - even those that don't like their veggies! Check to see if they need their tops removed, and give them a pat dry with paper towel if at all wet.
- Mixed herbs - use your own blend, or perhaps Italian herb seasoning or herbes de Provence - pick your favorite!
- Garlic powder - for a hint of extra flavor, use powder rather than fresh garlic as that would likely burn.
📖 Swaps and variations
Leave out the garlic powder. This is an optional ingredient, so if you're not a fan simply leave it out!
Adjust the amount of herbs. Give the baby carrots an extra sprinkle if you love the herb flavors.

💭 Recipe tips and notes
- If your carrots are on the wet side, give them a pat dry with a paper towel so they get nice crispy edges as they cook and the olive oil and herbs better 'stick' to them.
- Arrange the baby carrots in an even layer in the air fryer basket with a little space between the, so the hot air can circulate.
- Shake the air fryer basket halfway through the cook time for an even cook.
- If your baby carrots are on the larger side, you may need to add another minute or two to the cook time.

📖 Recipe
Easy Air Fryer Baby Carrots
Ingredients
- 1 pound baby carrots
- 2 teaspoon olive oil
- 1 teaspoon mixed herbs
- ¼ teaspoon garlic powder
- pinch salt
- pinch black pepper
Instructions
- Preheat the air fryer for 3 minutes at 390F / 200C.
- If the baby carrots seem wet (often the case with pre-prepared carrots I find), pat dry with a paper towel.
- Add the baby carrots to a bowl and drizzle in the olive oil. Sprinkle in the herbs, garlic powder, salt and black pepper and toss to coat the carrots.
- Spread the carrots in your air fryer basket in an even layer with a little space in between them. You may need to cook in batches if you have a smaller air fryer.
- Air fry the carrots for 10 minutes at 390F / 200C, shaking the basket halfway through the cook time. Check they are fork tender, and air fry for a further 2-3 minutes if required. Use tongs to remove the carrots as the basket will be very hot.
Notes
- If the baby carrots seem wet, pat dry with a paper towel before you toss in the olive oil and herbs.
- Leave a little space between the carrots so the air in the basket can circulate around them.
- Nutritional information is auto-generated and should be understood to be an estimate.
- garlic, which scores 1.
- black pepper, which scores 2.
- check your mixed herbs are suitable.
