🌿 Ingredients

All the ingredients and their quantities are set out in the recipe card below.
Some notes on a few of them:
- Cottage cheese - I suggest to use full fat cottage cheese as it has a creamier taste and texture, and more flavor.
- Herbs - we want to use fresh herbs to give a delicious green goddess flavor, such as parsley, dill, mint, basil or cilantro.
- Apple cider vinegar - this is optional, as cottage cheese has a tang anyway, but I like to add a little for an extra zing.

💭 Recipe Tips and Notes
- Use full fat cottage cheese. It isn't a necessity, but will give you a creamier salad dressing with more flavor.
- Make the most of fresh herbs. For cottage cheese ranch dressing flavors, I suggest to use parsley and dill, and cilantro if you love the taste.
- Adjust the texture. We all like our salad dressings a little different, so thin with more water and thicken with more cottage cheese to preference.
- Scrape down the blender. You may need to stop the blender and give the sides a scrape down to fully incorporate and blend the ingredients.
📋 Frequently Asked Questions
Cottage cheese can be used as salad dressing when thinned with water and other liquids, and blended with herbs and other flavorings.
Regular full fat cottage cheese has more flavor and is creamier than low fat cottage cheese, making it a better option for dressings. However, low fat can be used.
You want to use soft fresh herbs such as parsley, cilantro, dill, basil or thyme.
I don't recommend freezing this recipe as the taste and texture of the cottage cheese will change during the freezing process.
