If you are all about a little treat, then you will love these low histamine snack ideas! Enjoy icy popsicles for a summer treat, popcorn for movie night and pack up some energy balls for school or work.

I'm sharing these 25 low histamine snacks including my own recipes, as well as some specially chosen from Tania of Histamine Friendly Kitchen, Bertha of Guts and Good and Stacy of Low Histamine Baby. Find a fun treat today!

🍎 Making low histamine snacks

As well as being very tasty, these snacks all follow the SIGHI list for histamine and use lower histamine foods on that list.

We leave out ingredients that are often used in snacks such as highly processed foods, peanuts, beans and lentils, and colourings that are often an issue for those with histamine issues.

Instead we use equally delicious ingredients that are so tasty (and I bet nobody who wasn't low histamine would even get these snacks are for a special diet!).

Lots of histamine liberators in these recipes like mango which can cause major reactions in people with histamine intolerance. Wondering if you could specify this when making recipes to pre warn people which ingredients are liberators?

These recipes predominantly follow the SIGHI list, which has a ? as liberator for mango, and so isn't 'confirmed' as one. It also has a note, 'To be debated. Is often well tolerated'. Histamine levels (and the very concept of liberators itself) are debated in many foods, and so each person needs to follow the advice of their doctor or dietician for personal health circumstances. The recipes from my site have the SIGHI 'score' at the end of each recipe card on the post.

Hi, I’m Claire. After a diagnosis of MCAS I began to follow a low histamine diet, which has helped me manage my symptoms. Here I hope to show that a restrictive diet can still be full of flavourful meals, and help you enjoy being creative in the kitchen.
